What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul? It's not worth it. We can have all the material things this world has to offer and still lose our soul. If the beginning of this year has taught me anything, it's that I can't make it without the Lord Jesus Christ. Being "saved" or being a "believer" does not exempt one from the trials of life. It just gives you an anchor to hold you down during those trials. Salvation is simply you accepting the sacrifice that God gave, as a redemptive power of what Adam and Eve did in the garden. The law was not powerful enough, there was no grace. We needed a Savior.
Christ laid His life down so that we could be free. Not only free from eternal damnation to hell! Oh no! His living and dying gave us power for the NOW! We have the power to tread over every serpent in our life. We have the power to have peaceful minds, as we trust God. We have the power of life and death in our very tongue. God has given us the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.
We have access to the Holyspirit, which resides on the inside of us when we surrender to the Father. That sweet Holyspirit is a comforter that comforts us in times of chaos and distress. It is a still small voice that leads and guides us. It is a booming voice that corrects us when we are wrong.
If you are not a believer, what are you waiting for? To be perfect? That will never happen. Someone else is not living a holy life but claim salvation? That was the reason for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ! We work out our own salvation through reverence of God our Father. His grace is surely sufficient for us! Have faith and believe today. Answer the call of salvation and live to live again. Now that's living your best life!
In Faith and Love,
